Captain Kirk's Google+ account deleted - William Shatner 'violated standards' claim

William Shatner, the veteran actor who played James T Kirk in 'Star Trek', was banned from Google's new social network when his Google+ account was flagged "for violating standards".

Google soon realised the mistake and he was back online in a flash, although not quite as quick as a beam up to the Enterprise by Scotty.

Perhaps Mr Spock stepped in.
