Mugger asks victim on date – stupid thief makes phone call – arrested and charged

A stupid mugger was identified and arrested when he telephoned his victim and asked her out on a date.

The robber demanded the phone number of a girl he mugged in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He also stole $60.

John Jardini, 26, rang twice to ask if she had a boyfriend and, bizarrely, asked her to go out with him. He was quickly identified, arrested and charged with robbery.
