Picture of the day: beam me up…
Sometimes you have to be in the right place, at the right time, have a bit of luck and, of course, a camera.
Three quarters of the way up this hill overlooking Brighton, I passed a man coming down. He spotted my Olympus and said: "If you're quick, there's a great picture to be taken with the sun breaking through on to the water… but I don't have my camera with me!"
"Thanks," I said wondering if he thought I was some Arctic hare that could skip over three inches of snow and ice to the top of the hill in a few seconds.
I trudged on. If it happens, it happens. Five minutes later…
Guess what the moral of this little story is?
