A "lost" masterpiece believed to be by Michelangelo has been found hanging on a wall at Campion Hall, a student hall of residence in Oxford. And it could be worth £100 million.
The painting, 'Crucifixion With The Madonna, St John and Two Mourning Angels', was thought to be by one of the artist's contemporaries and was bought by Campion Hall at Sotheby’s for an undisclosed amount in the 1930s.
If it is by Michelangelo, the painting could break the record £70 million paid for a Picasso at an auction last year.
