An 86-year-old Arizona man survived after a pair of pruning shears went through his eye socket and half way into his head when he fell while trimming plants in his garden.
The handle of the shears penetrated six inches into Leroy Luetscher's head - and, amazingly, he survived with nothing more than slight swelling and minor double vision.
