A girl called Like - couple name daughter after Facebook feature - what next, Tweet?

Fancy going through life being called Like.

An Israeli couple have called their daughter just that - after the Facebook button.

According to the Telegraph, Lior Adler and his wife Vardit, who live near Tel Aviv, said they wanted a name that was "modern and innovative".

They got the idea after lots of people hit the "like" button when Lior posted a picture of his baby. Lucky they didn't hit the "comment" or "share" buttons, I suppose.

Why do parents call their children by silly names? A Boy Named Sue, by Johnny Cash, springs to mind. It's only a matter of time before someone names their child "Tweet" - if it hasn't been done already.

Lior and Vardit have a taste for unusual names. One daughter is called Vash (Hebrew for Honey) and yet another is called Pie (after the English food).

Let's hope they don't have a boy any time soon - nice to meet you, Steak and Kidney. Or even, dare I suggest, Tweety Pie.
