Tribute: Golfer Seve Ballesteros has died
Seve Ballesteros, one of the greatest golfer's in the world, has died from cancer at only 54. It is another sad day for sport as his death follows that of boxing giant Henry Cooper a few days ago.
Ballesteros won 87 titles, including the Open in 1979, 1984 (pictured) and 1988 and became the first European to win the Augusta Masters in 1980, repeating his victory in 1983. BBC golf commentator Peter Alliss sums up the tributes neatly: "He was wonderful to watch, he brought delight and joy to many people. He was a fighter, feisty, skilful, loveable, cheeky - he was everything."
