Photographers' rights: government guide for 'overzealous' security staff

Private security guards must be courteous, open and friendly and not 'blanketly' target photographers, says the Home Office.

Photographers recently protested outside the offices of London Mayor Boris Johnson at City Hall, London, because of the "overzealous behaviour" of private security guards who prevent them from taking pictures (PHOTOGRAPHERS, NOT TERRORISTS - STORY).

According to Amateur Photographer magazine, the Government is keen to tackle the issue.
