Shopping centre allows photography after internet campaign

Several shopping centres in the UK are to allow customers to take photographs on their premises after an internet campaign.

Father Chris White had been challenged and questioned by police for taking a picture of his 4-year-old daughter eating an ice cream in Glasgow's Braehead shopping centre in Scotland.

Mr White said a police officer warned him that anti-terrorism powers meant his camera phone could be confiscated. So, he set up a Facebook page called "Boycott Braehead", which was immediately "liked" by thousands of people.

Capital Shopping Centres said the new rules would apply immediately to its 11 UK shopping centres, according to the BBC.

Yeti 'found' in Russia - 'evidence' of 7ft beast - perhaps not

Russian officials claim they have found "indisputable proof" that yetis are alive in Siberia.

It follows a conference and expedition to track down the Abominable Snowman in the Mount Shoria area, according to a Mail report.

The claim rests on an unclear footprint and a small sample of 'hair' found at the cave.

But the idea has already been branded as an attempt to boost tourism as there is no convincing photographic or DNA evidence.
