YouTube technology to blur faces on uploaded videos – rioters could hide identities
New technology is being introduced by the Google-owned YouTube video website that will blur faces automatically.
And, according to the Telegraph, it could mean rioters who upload clips could hide their indentities.
Several clips were posted on the site during the London riots last summer, including footage of men robbing Malaysian student Ashraf Rossli when they were pretending to help him. His attackers were identified and jailed.
Google says the technology will help to protect human rights in countries such as Libya and Syria.

Gaddafi says Cameron should go - bizarre call after UK riots
Col Gaddafi, who has used the army to crush protests in Libya, says British Prime Minister David Cameron should quit because he has unleashed "violent repression" on "peaceful protesters".
Clearly, the lunatic Libyan leader doesn't know what "violent repression" or "peaceful" mean.
The Iranians have also echoed his call, but that's hardly a surprise.
