Amazing electron microscope pictures

Look at these amazing electron microscope pictures. One of them looks like the Grand Canyon, but it's really a micro crack in steel, others are scary monsters just a few mm across.

Owl swoops on prey - brilliant picture by boy, 9

A brilliant picture taken by a nine-year-old boy shows the moment an owl swooped on a mouse.

Allen Shank, 9, of Dayton, Virginia, US, took the picture using infrared sensors and flashes to freeze the action.
