Help! There's a fox in my bed - grandmother wakes to find animal clawing her

Mary Small, 68, was woken by an animal clawing at her face. Then she realised that it was a fox and leapt out of bed.

The fox was eventually chased from the house by her husband, Tony, in Bournville, Birmingham.

This latest attack is among several recent incidents that show foxes are losing their fear of humans.

Men die in riots - run over by car while 'protecting neighbourhood', claim

Three men have died in Birmingham after they were hit by a car during another night of unrest in British cities. Locals claim the men were protecting their neighbourhood from rioters and police have launched a murder inquiry.

Another man has died in hospital after he was found shot in a car amid riots in south London this week.

There was violence in several English cities last night, although London was quite as thousands of extra police were drafted in.
