Deadly cucumbers - more cases are likely, says scientist
An E.coli outbreak linked to deadly cucumbers is expected to claim more victims as Europe begins to panic, says a scientist.
Fourteen people are now known to have died in Germany and hundreds more are ill. The contaminated vegetables are thought to have come from Spain - although Spanish officials refuse to accept blame.
Up to 1,200 case have been reported in Germany, with 36 suspected cases in Sweden from tourists returning from Germany. Cases have been reported in Switzerland, Denmark, Holland and the UK.
Several countries in Europe have banned vegetable imports and removed them from sale.
