Prisoner fathers baby from behind bars as European laws give him 'right to family life'

A European law that gives people a 'right to family life' has been used by a prisoner in the UK so he can father a child from behind bars using artificial insemination.

According to the Telegraph, "the decision to allow him the treatment, which is reportedly being paid for by the NHS at a cost of up to £2,000, was based on his rights under Article 8 of the Human Rights Act".
