A woman lay dead for eight years in a Sydney house, Australia, and not one of her neighbours noticed.
They assumed the house in Surry Hills was abandoned and the woman had moved away. She would have been about 87 years old.
A police chief said the woman "appears to have died without anyone noticing".
"This serves as a reminder for people to keep a neighbourly eye on those who live in their area, especially the elderly," he said.
