10 most dangerous cities in the US - Flint, Michigan, comes top - full list

Flint, Michigan, 66 miles north west of Detroit, is apparently the most dangerous city in the United States.

With 22 violent crimes per 1000 people, Flint tops the list of the 10 most dangerous cities in America, according to FBI crime statistics.

Detroit is the second most dangerous city, with 18.9 violent crimes per thousand people in 2010, while St. Louis, Missouri, came third.

New York doesn't even figure on the list.

The top ten are: 1, Flint, Michigan; 2, Detroit, Michigan; 3, St Louis, Missouri; 4, New Haven, Connecticut; 5, Memphis, Tennessee; 6, Oakland, California; 7, Little Rock, Arkansas; 8, Baltimore, Maryland; 9, Rockford, Illinois; 10, Stockton, California.
